Well, this might be embarrassing. Despite having broken up, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez will reunite in court next week, as a fresh report asserts they will take the stand in a civil trail set to start Feb. 16.

And it all stems from Justin’s alleged assault on a paparazzo in May 2012.The past always comes back to haunt you, and both Justin Bieber, 21, and Selena Gomez, 23, are learning the hard manner, as they’ll reunite in court next week, a new report claims.

Justin allegedly assaulted a paparazzo in May 2012 as you’ll recall, and that man subsequently went on to sue the singer.

The alleged assault, which Justin is being sued by Jose Duran for, took place in May 2012 in the parking lot of a mall in Calabasas, California. Jose claims Justin kicked and punched him as they left a movie theater after he was accused of getting too close to the vocalist and Selena.

The trial was postponed several times, but the judge has made it very clear, according to Rumor Extra, that it’ll not be pushed off. So unless Justin settles with Jose out of court, prior to the trail begins, he and Selena will reunite.

“They’ve been negotiating for ever with Duran’s people,” a source close to Justin told the site. “Duran doesn’t think he is being taken seriously. Justin’s people are consistently offering him less than seven figures and Duran wants more than seven figures.”
