Sultan’s Success! box office update – collects a total of Rs 236.59 crore in 11 days!

It’s the second Saturday for Salman Khan’s Sultan and turns out it’s still enjoying a successful run at the box office. Yes! Having become the fastest Rs 200 crore grosser of all times, Sultan has now managed to clock a total of Rs 236.59 crore in 11 days. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh just tweeted the accurate figures saying, “#Sultan [Week 2] Fri 7.43 cr. Total: ₹ 236.59 cr. India biz.” Okay, we agree the day to day figures are not as great as the initial opening weekend of Sultan but now if you compare it to other films, there have been times when films have collected barely Rs 5-6 crore in the very first weekend. That way, Sultan is steady with collection still inching close to an average of Rs 8 crore every day. It can be noted how this weekend again bows down to Sultan with no big release apart from Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi’s Great Grand Masti and Hollywood film, Ice Age: Collision Course. So probably, Sultan will take over the box office this weekend too. Speaking of which, we wouldn’t be surprised if the film hits thh Rs 250 crore mark in the next few days.

But having said that, will it be able to challenge his last Eid release – Bajrangi Bhaijaan or Aamir Khan’s PK collections which went onto a lifetime collection of over Rs 300 crore? That remains to be seen.
