Givens’ brother Kamal posted on Instagram and said” By to my favorite guy in this whole world be in peace we love you forever bro I’ll see you one day soon we shall dance again in God’s kindom forever and ever bro words can’t describe my pain world pray for me!”

Givens and his brother Kamal had been contestants on I Love New York in 2007. The next year, the brothers went on to star on their own reality dating show Real Chance of Love for two seasons.

He said in a interview at the New York Life 2014 National Cultural Markets Conference last year “That day was very surreal. I felt like I was dreaming, It felt unreal all the way up until I had to do chemo.”

Before his death he said to his son “For my son, I want him to know that his father did everything that he could to provide the best life for him. That his father was there for him, that his father was honest, through my son my legacy will continue.”

Ahmad Givens, star of Real Chance of Love, has died after a long battle with colon cancer at age of 33.

Givens, who known to fans “Real” was diagnosed with advanced colon cancer in 2013, and he under went many surgery and chemotherapy treatments recent months, he said of the moments before he was informed that he had stage 4 colon cancer that had spread to his liver “I remember I was laying on the hospital bed and the doctor came in crying and when I saw her crying I knew it was something serious, My doctors thought I had, like, three days to live so they just zapped me with chemo. I left out of there with my veins burning and everything.”

On Friday, according to Chance, Real began having speech and vision problems as his family visited. He died hours later.
