Oscars 2016: Kate Winslet will go to Oscars and hopes to see Leonardo DiCaprio win

Kate Winslet says she is not going to boycott the Oscars as it might mean missing seeing her “closest friend” Leonardo DiCaprio eventually win.

The star appeared in 1997’s hit Titanic alongside DiCaprio.He meanwhile is nominated to find the best actor Academy Award because of his part in The Revenant.

Her opinion comes after some stars threatened not to visit the awards due to the dearth of black, Asian and Hispanic celebrity nominees. Kate is nominated for her part in the biopic about Steve Jobs.Speaking in the launching of her latest movie, US heist drama Triple 9 she affirmed she’d be attending the service, not only to support the amount of female nominees but to also to see her buddy Leo win.

Miley Cyrus better watch her back, as Kate Winslet’s daughter Mia is after her guy Liam Hemsworth!While being interviewed on the red carpet at the SAG awards, Kate was asked what she thought about her The Dressmaker co-star getting back together with his ex-husband.

And the British actress revealed that she didn’t have an opinion on it, but her 15-year-old daughter Mia was “very disapproving” of their reunion.

“I’ll have to run it by her when I get home,” she disclosed. “I just believe she wants Liam all to herself, fairly honestly.”What Is more, Kate was even more upset when she realised that Liam, 26, wasn’t mature.

“I was alarmed to discover, actually after working with Liam, that in fact he is nearer in age to my daughter than he’s with me, which makes me feel really young,” she added. “Not in any way.”
