she and husband Blake Edwards had turned their landmark 1982 gender-bending film “Victor/Victoria” into a Broadway musical, and then into a TV movie. after many sopranos decide they have to pack her voice in, through 1997 she was just as active as ever but Julie Andrews’s legendary four-octave voice wasn’t what it
once had been because she was over 60 at that time and the voice that gave the world “Do-Re-Mi” wasn’t do-re-mi-ing as it should.

Andrews known that she had a non-cancerous nodules in her throat which can sometimes be treated without surgery, that was after a trip to a doctor. She checked into Mt. Sinai Hospital to go
under the knife.

Andrews said at the time that Singing has been a cherished a gift, and her inability to sing has been a devastating blow.

She is 79 years old and recovered gracefully from her alleged defeat at the hands of surgeons. she now reigns supreme over the “Sound of Music” nostalgia industry — putting in an appearance at the Oscars to applaud Lady Gaga’s medley of music from the show, and granting an interview to Diane Sawyer Wednesday night during ABC’s 50th anniversary celebration that had Twitter blubbering.

Emma Stone along with her mother Krista walked the red carpet at the 2015 Oscars on Sunday. The both looked amazing in an embellished and backless gold gown while her mom looked lovely in a black and white dress. Meanwhile, Stone, up for Best Supporting Actress for Birdman, seemed thrilled, mugging for the camera while gripping her friend—and all the while not oversharing, despite the high slit of her chartreuse beaded, backless Elie Saab dress!

Emma Stone and more showed off some of their best red carpet looks. Aniston, 46, who stunned in a strapless nude dress with a sheer skirt by Atelier Versace and Fred Leighton jewels, arrived on the arm of her fiancé, Justin Theroux (handsome in a tux, of course). But when she spotted Stone, 26, the Cake actress clearly couldn’t resist going in for the ultimate hug, lifting Stone into the air while holding onto her butt.

Stone commented on the nominations announcement in January” I am very proud and lucky to be a part of ‘Birdman’ and can’t believe it came to this. I am so excited. Are you allowed to say when you’re making a statement for the Oscars? I’m just really excited.”

Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced Sunday list of Oscars winners and handed them the 2015 awards. The 87th annual Academy Awards took place at the Dolby theater in Los Angeles and are being hosted by Gone Girl star Neil Patrick Harris.

Common and John Legend delivered the most powerful performance of the 87th annual Academy Awards on Sunday with the Selma theme song, “Glory.”

The show was amazing, thwy performed alongside a group of men and women marching underneath an Edmund Pettus Bridge stage prop, reminsicent to a powerful scene in the Civil Rights film. Scenes from the Ava DuVernay-directed film was shown in the background during the set.

The performance aroused tears of many attendance including the film’s actors David Oyelowo (who played Martin Luther King Jr.) and Oprah Winfrey (producer and who played Annie Lee Cooper).

Common said when accepting the award for Original Song for Glory” It’s a symbol for change.” He continued to say that it “transcends race, religion, sexual orientation and social status… this bridge was built on hope.”

Common and Legend performed “Glory” for the first time live at the Grammy Awards on Feb. 8. On top of winning the 2015 Oscar for the Selma theme song, they’ve taken home a Golden Globe award and Critics’ Choice award for “Glory.”

Eddie Redmayne was so excited to win the best actor Oscar for his performance as Professor Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything.

Redmayne nominated for the Oscars after claiming the Screen Actors’ Guild’s best actor award last month. The winner of that award has gone on to pick up the best actor Oscar every year since 2003.

After receiving the award, Redmayne said:” Thank you. Thank you. I don’t think I’m capable of articulating quite how I feel right now. I’m fully aware that I am a lucky, lucky man. This Oscar belongs to all of those people around the world battling ALS. It belongs to one exceptional family – Stephen, Jane and the Hawking children. I will be his custodian. I will be at his beck and call. I wait on him hand and foot. Thank you to Hannah, my wife. I love you – we have a new fella coming to share our apartment.”

The Theory of Everything movie is about Hawking’s story from his early years as a astrophysics student at Cambridge university. It follows the celebrated physicist as he develops his theory of relativity, while experiencing the early symptoms of motor neurone disease. Redmayne plays Hawking as he gradually loses use of much of his body and learns to use a wheelchair and speak through a computer.

Lady Gaga appeared on the Oscars stage Sunday night and sang the roof off the Dolby Theatre in a tribute to The Sound of Music. She performed a number of songs from the musical film, including “My Favorite Things,” “Edelweiss,” and “Climb Every Mountain.”

Julie Andrews was impressed by her performance and said “You were amazing” to Lady Gaga as Andrews appeared from the wings.

During her career, Lady Gaga’s extreme sartorial choices, from geometric headwear to meat dresses and eggshell casings, came to dominate the conversation surrounding her. So she Sure Ruled Twitter with many comments:

“This is the first time #LadyGaga has *actually* shocked me. Forget meat dresses & arriving in pods -all she had to do was sing! #Oscars2015”

“Just when I thought I couldn’t be more shocked tonight, Lady Gaga nailed her Sound of Music performance. AND THEN JULIE SHOWED UP!”

“I’m so confused, why is Lady Gaga singing Sound of Music….? It’s very nice but why”

Chris Kyle’s widow walked the red carpet for ‘American Sniper’ at the Oscars on Sunday, she said she wished he was with her. Taya Kyle confirmed also that Chris would be very happy with by the support American Sniper had received.

Taya was very happy with Bradley Cooper performance, who played Kyle, and said she was happy to represent Chris’ that night. on the red carpet she asserted that she wanted to be there for her husband, who she said would be ‘really happy that so much healing is happening’ and that military families were ‘healing with this movie’.

Taya walked the red carpet with her sister, who she said will hold her hand and dry her tears for ‘what is sure to be an emotional evening’. Although American Sniper, which is based on Kyle’s memoir of the same name, received six nominations, the film only took home an award for sound editing.

American Sniper revolves around Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle’s pinpoint accuracy saves countless lives on the battlefield and turns him into a legend. Back home to his wife and kids after four tours of duty, however, Chris finds that it is the war he can’t leave behind.

Warner Bros.’ “American Sniper” had reached $310 million in domestic box office as of Thursday.
