So on Sunday evening Sonam was busy wrapping up the post success interviews of Neerja, a film on the basis of the life of Neerja Bhanot, a Pan AM flight attendant, who saved as many as 359 passengers from terrorists on board the hijacked Pan Am Flight 73 on September 5, 1986.

Posthumously, she became the youngest recipient of India’s best peacetime military award for bravery, the Ashok Chakra. The film has been well received by the audience and is also going strong on the box-office.
