Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced Sunday list of Oscars winners and handed them the 2015 awards. The 87th annual Academy Awards took place at the Dolby theater in Los Angeles and are being hosted by Gone Girl star Neil Patrick Harris.

Common and John Legend delivered the most powerful performance of the 87th annual Academy Awards on Sunday with the Selma theme song, “Glory.”

The show was amazing, thwy performed alongside a group of men and women marching underneath an Edmund Pettus Bridge stage prop, reminsicent to a powerful scene in the Civil Rights film. Scenes from the Ava DuVernay-directed film was shown in the background during the set.

The performance aroused tears of many attendance including the film’s actors David Oyelowo (who played Martin Luther King Jr.) and Oprah Winfrey (producer and who played Annie Lee Cooper).
