Intimate film scenes normally cause a stir, and performers pull out all stops to nip any adverse publicity. However, some stars presume the whole hulabuloo encompassing it is not rather necessary.
Regarding the hypocrisy that surrounds the shoot of intimate scenes, she talked in a recent interview with film critic Anupama Chopra:
“I react to it (an intimate scene) when I read it. If I’m convinced about it and if I’ve got my character right, then it just flows through. Then it’s not like that as soon as I’ve done my scene I go ‘shawl kahan hai meri izzat bachaa lo! Meri cleavage na kisi ko dikh jaaye, bachaa lo mujhe!”
Not only this, she also pulls the leg of directors who act like defenders of her ethical motive as soon as she wraps up a racy scene: “There are a few directors also like that. If you are wearing clothes that are short and standing, they’d go ‘madam ko kuch do bhai’. Kyun do bhai? Why can’t you see me? It is very ‘inko dhakaiye’. And I’m like I Have shot the entire scene for half a day, it’s planning to be out for everybody to see and you can not see me in short pants?”
We must say the woman makes lots of sense. Kudos to Kangana for speaking her head and making us chuckle while she’s at it!
Her next film, Katti-Batti is slated to release on September 18.
