Theme park in Dubai has partnered with Shahrukh Khan to shoot the high speed chase scenes for its immersive 3D ride
With the launch nearby, Bollywood Parks Dubai, the world’s first Bollywood divine theme park and part of Dubai Parks and Resorts, the largest incorporated theme park destination in the region, set to open on October 31 2016, brings yet another first with its biggest cinematic organization. The park has partnered to shoot the high speed pursuit scenes for the immersive 3D ride – Don: The Chase that will premiere at the opening of Bollywood Parks Dubai.
While shooting for the ride, Shahrukh Khan said, “The park is a combination of rides, exhilaration and adventure, while remaining true to the ethos of Bollywood. Movies are a manifestation of reality where we firmly believe in our hopes, and exactly the same will be translated to the park where you may have fun!” As we want to leave families and our guests spellbound at the end of each ride, at Bollywood Parks Dubai, we shall emulate this larger than life spirit.
With families and the fans of Dubai waiting for the opening of the first Bollywood inspired theme park, the fine detailing of the elements recreated in the actual film witnessed during the pursuit, will throw the feel of being a part of the movie.
Getting back in the movie into his character, the star was seen reciting his famous dialogues, notably for the thrill seekers who can’t wait to experience this ride. Commenting on the ride, he said, “This time the pursuit is in Dubai, on the very famous Shaikh Zayed Road and also other famous landmarks of Dubai. As the famed dialogue of the movie goes – ‘Don ko pakadana mushkil hi nahin, namumkin hai’ that means it is not only difficult to capture Don, but impossible also.”
Directed by Reema Kagti, among Bollywood’s finest directors, this ride was finished with the support of over 100 members in the production team.
You feel completely redundant and worthless, should youn’t have a great team supporting you. The star of the show carries a lot of his own belief on the set and the making or then the whole set goes wrong, if it is channeled in the wrong way. But if it is fine, then it permeates to everyone and the hard work demanded does not look like ‘hard’ work in the slightest.”
Situated within the Mumbai Chowk zone at Bollywood Parks Dubai, visitors will appreciate the Don – The Chase ride, a 3D motion immersive tunnel, which will have visitors pursuing their favourite diabolical mastermind across the city of Dubai, trusting that they’ll function as first to catch him.
