Bob Mortimer has cancelled the initial leg with comedy partner Vic Reeves after undergoing a triple heart bypass surgery.
Mortimer was due to take to the stage alongside Reeves as part of a 25th anniversary show next month in Glasgow.
Neil Reading, spokesman for Mortimer, 56, said he desired “several weeks” to recover from your procedure.
Reeves said: Many thanks to the surgeon.”
The duet were due to perform in Glasgow in a fortnight for 25 Years Of Reeves And Mortimer: The Poignant Minutes.
December: Sheffield, Ipswich, Nottingham, Brighton
“Bob wish to thank his advisor and all of the nursing staff in the hospital for looking after him so nicely.
“Bob now needs several weeks to completely recover, so regrettably the initial leg of the UK tour will likely be cancelled.
“Bob very much hopes to be fit and well enough to do the 2nd leg in January next year.”
All ticket holders for performances from 8 November are advised to contact his consultant’s purchase to get a refund.
It is expected the February 2016 and January shows will go ahead as planned.
