A girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a TSA representative after telling her she needed to be sought in a toilet at Nyc ‘s LaGuardia Airport.

Port Authority spokesman Joe Pantangelo told CBS that Oquendo is charged with official misconduct, forcible touching and unlawful imprisonment, and faces as much as a year in prison if convicted.

Such alleged actions cannot, under any conditions, go unpunished,” Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said in a statement.

Brown was standing in a place where passengers do not require to be sought when Oquendo supposedly approached her and said he needed to run yet another screening in the toilet and added the casualty had gone via the screening checkpoint.

Additionally, the District Attorney noted that the girl was fondled by Oquendo after she questioned if the investigation was not inappropriate.

ABC News reports the TSA representative unzipped her pants and lifted up the victim’s shirt and other aspects of her body over and under her clothes.

“TSA holds its workers to the best standards. Therefore, we expect our employees to conduct themselves with integrity, professionalism, and with regard for the people we serve,” he said.

Neffenger included, “The great bulk of the TSA workforce serves with honor and ethics, and handles every passenger with dignity and respect. TSA is working in close partnership together with the Port Authority Police Department in support of the investigation.”
