Mexico intends to deploy a “comprehensive strategy” to boost its image in America more vigorously, the authorities said on Thursday, days after new criticism of the nation by Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump.

Trump, that has assaulted Mexico over crime, illegal immigration and commerce, on Tuesday threatened to obstruct remittances from Mexican migrants that were undocumented also slammed the statement of a brand new Ford plant, and if elected.

Opposition lawmakers and diplomats have accused the Mexican authorities of neglecting to counter such rhetoric, and on Tuesday Mexico said it was replacing its U.S. ambassador and the deputy foreign minister responsible for North American connections.
