US elections 2016: Donald Trump sweeps to victory in New Hampshire primary

Donald Trump, once an object of mockery and scorn has won the New Hampshire Republican primary.

According to projections from the Associated Press, this is the first electoral victory for the property mogul in an 2016 election campaign he has so far ruled.

Trump gave an unusually emotive speech by the Manchester airport to supporters alongside a Best Western hotel in a hotel ballroom, starting by thanking his deceased parents in addition to his siblings.

He also took a moment to mention Bernie Sanders, the victor of the Democratic primary. “Congratulations to Bernie,” he said. “We have to congratulate him, we might not want it. He wants to give away our nation, people. We’re not going to allow it to happen.”Trump then touched on familiar topics from his stump speech, including bugbears Mexico and China, reasoning by promising attendees that once he is elected “we are going to start winning again.
