Vidya Balan is the first choice to match Geeta Bali in ‘Ek Albela’

The 37-year-old “Kahaani” celebrity is essaying the part of of the yesteryear Bollywood actress in the approaching Marathi picture, which traces the journey of Bhagwan Dada’s film career as an actor and director. Her role will be credited as a special appearance.

“Vidya Balan is definitely one of the best performers in Bollywood. She was definitely the first choice to play Geeta Bali in “Ek Albela”.

It might be an honour to work with all the actress,” producer Monish Babre said. To be directed by Shekhar Sartandel, the biopic is an homage to the veteran performer because of his contribution to Hindi cinema.

Vidya’s character did not require to talk in Marathi, as the versatile actress used to converse with the cast and crew who were quite surprised along with her command within the language in Marathi, but she had a blast on the sets. The actor and director were quite amazed from the truth that she used to converse with the cast and team in Marathi,” Babre said.
