Worldwide: Pakistani Policeman Slaps Woman Reporter During Live Broadcast In Karachi

A Pakistani trooper deployed with the country’s paramilitary police force Frontier Constabulary (FC) smacked a female journalist in Karachi while she was reporting on problems citizens confront in the National Database and Registration Authority office in Nazimabad.

For worrying her cameraperson after she reproaches him the footage of the incident, which reveals the cop smacking the reporter, has gone viral. Several gunshots can be heard, even as the camera falls to the ground in the confusion, after slapping her. The reporter who was assaulted has been identified as Saima Kanwal of Pakistani TV channel K 21. She posted video footage of throwaway bullet shells following the event.
