The controversy surrounding the prohibition of Pakistani performers has been spoken about. A lot was said political parties have applied a ban on Pakistani artists and about the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil prohibition. From what the present scenario resembles, ADHM was the last Bollywood movie for Fawad Khan and Raees will be the last one and the first for Mahira Khan. Since the controversy surrounding the prohibition has died down a little, Pakistani celebrity Imran Abbas has spoken up. He set it on record the remarks were erroneously credited to him, “I have yet to watch the film!”

He made his Bollywood debut with Creature 3D opposite Bipasha Basu but that didn’t help him get any acknowledgement. ADHM could have been his big ticket to Bollywood had there been no controversy. And if you’ve watched the movie you’d easily understand that Fawad too is mere an eye candy in the film. He just has several dialogues in the movie because they did have to chop off his role. “To be reasonable Fawad Khan’s character turned out to be no more than an extended cameo. I was so looking forward to the release of Ae Dil…,” Abbas told Mid-Day.

Speaking about his character in the film, he says, “It was a fun part. Faisal propels the characters played by Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor to doubledate.” He also gets more screen time than Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan, one other guest stars in the picture.

After all the mayhem and hoopla, would he ever desire to return to Bollywood? “I had an excellent time and any celebrity would just be happy to get the opportunity to be part of Bollywood. But I am not obsessed about any particular workplace. I ‘m not close to good offers from everywhere on the planet,” he says signing off.
