IS shot dead 40 civilians on Tuesday in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul after accusing them of treason, the United Nations says.

A guy was also allegedly shot dead in public for blowing off an IS prohibition on using mobile phones in central Mosul.
Iraqi security forces are continuing their drive to take back Mosul in the custody.
The killings of the civilians seemed to have already been completed on the orders of self appointed “courts”, in accordance with the UN report.
The UN says 20 civilians were also shot dead on Wednesday evening allegedly for leaking info.
