Asylum has been sought by several Turkish policemen since the state’s unsuccessful military coup in July, Nato’s secretary-general has said.
Jens Stoltenberg said the policemen had requested asylum in the states where they have been posted but gave no numbers, no names or reasons for the requests.
The cases will be considered by the states involved separately.
Turkey suspended, has blown off, detained or arrested thousands of individuals since the July coup effort.
