The manager of the CIA has warned US President-elect Donald Trump that stopping the Iran nuclear deal could be “devastating” and “the height of folly”.
In a BBC interview, John Brennan additionally guided the new president to keep clear of the assurances in Russia, blaming Moscow for much of the anguish in Syria.
In his effort, Mr Trump also suggested at working with Russia and threatened to trash the Iran deal.
Mr Brennan will step down after four years directing the CIA in January.
