Singer and model Ayyan Ali on Thursday couldn’t be indicted in currency smuggling case once again as counsel Latif Khosa did not appear prior to the court.

Customs court judge Rana Aftab Ahmed said that roughly ten court hearings were scheduled for indictment but somehow the procedure is delayed. Ali inquired about the well of media personnel being as she reached the court today. As the hearing was began, the judge requested Ali’s junior counsel to request Latif Khosa about any objection in the matter as she would be indicted. Upon which Rai Mudassar said that finished challan of others hasn’t been filed yet.

The judge said that he cannot work on disposal of customs officials. Ali’s challan has been filed which declares her responsible for the offense, he added. Mudassar was then asked by the judge to present arguments against her indictment. Customs officials said that a finished challan has been filed against Ali. They encouraged the court to indict her today without any additional postponement.
