OMG! ANF seizes 6.7 tons of drugs worth Rs 4.1 billion
ANF impounded mega amount of drugs weighing 6.7 Short Tons worth Rs 4.1 Billion in International Marketplace in 10 operations carried out across the country. The operations also resulted in arrest of 10 individuals including a lady involved with seizure and drug trafficking of 2 vehicles in drug smuggling.
ANF Quetta while carrying out two different intelligence based operations at District Qilla Abdullah and District Chaghi impounded 6.7 Ton Hashish. The drug consignments were covertly carried at two distinct uninhabited sites. According to details, ANF raided an uninhabited site located at Ghabi Zai, Tehsil Gulistan, District Qilla Abdullah, which resulted in seizure of 6.1 Ton Hashish, while another operation was conducted at Kath Baroth, Tehsil Yak Mach, District Chaghi which led to seizure of 535 Kg Hashish.
As per preliminary investigations, the drug consignments were placed for handing over to a few other narcotics gang and were meant to be shifted to some safe location to an unknown destination at Coastal Area for smuggling.
Moreover, ANF Quetta also arrested a local drug peddler namely Moula Baksh along with 1.78 Kg Heroin which was found in his possession. He was arrested from Sabzal Road, Quetta.
ANF Lahore Road Test Team got a Toyota Corolla Car near primary Motorway Toll Plaza, Faisalabad and recovered 2.2 Kg Hashish while searching the car. Two drug carriers on board namely Sabir Shah both residents of Malakand, and Muhammad Ghaffar Khan were also detained during the operation. In another operation, ANF arrested a street drug peddler identified as Muhammad Shahbaz resident of Lahore along with retrieval of 2 Kg Hashish. He was detained near Shalamar Bagh, Lahore.
ANF Peshawar Airport Team during routine profiling at Peshawar Airport intercepted a Jeddah restricted passenger namded Asif Jan resident of Charsaddah, and regained 660 G Heroin hidden in his shoes.
ANF Karachi arrested a nearby drug peddler Ashar Ali resident of Sanghar along with recovery of 2.45 Hashish, which was found in his personal property.
