“The order of Bombay High Court will not need hindrance,” a bench comprising justices FMI Kalifulla and Amitava Roy said. The bench was hearing plea.

The plea has alleged that the relief was not granted by the Bombay High Court whose son Ravindra Patil, the police bodyguard of Khan as well as a crucial witness in the 2002 hit and run case, had died under mysterious conditions. The plea had sought a probe into the departure of Patil furthermore seeking cancellation of Khan’s bond. The apex court failed to hold the appeal filed against the high court order on the matter.

Previously on August 31, the apex court had refused to hold the same plea. In the case, the High Court suspended the 5-year sentence of Khan on May 8 and given him bail pending his appeal against conviction.
