Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has said that 3G and 4G services being provided by cellular companies are not up to international standard, adding that service provider firms are showing their commitment towards development.
Zong, the China Mobile Pakistan, was listed second with average download speed of 3.66 Mbps and average upload speed of 2.93 Mbps in distinct parts of Pakistan. Telenor registered itself at number three with average download speeds of 2.22 Mbps and typical upload speeds of 1 Mbps.
The government owned Ufone remained the worst 3G service provider in Pakistan with average download speeds of 1.27 Mbps and average upload speeds of 1 Mbps.

The survey further revealed that 4G service of Zong has 9.4 Mbps average download speed and 6.1 Mbps of typical download speeds while other 4G service provider Warid has 5.95 Mbps of average download speeds and 2.9 Mbps of typical upload speeds for its 4G LTE services.
