You can always bank on Ranbir Kapoor when it comes to creating some Tamasha. Add his co-star in the Imtiaz Ali picture, Deepika Padukone, to the mixture and you’ve got all of the ingredients to get a popular off the rack news.
The occasion was the launching the movie’s leads and Wat Wat Wat couldn’t be together. While Deepika started the tune alone, exboyfriend Ranbir weighed in via a video call where he’s shooting for Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Anushka Sharma.
Before you read too much into it, let’s remind you that is the well-known dialogue from the pair’s hit, Ye Jawaani Hai Deewani.
“We all work so hard on every movie and want each one to have its own space to do it… sort of properly. But I look at the overall picture, of course I am selfish as an actor,” Deepika said
Speaking to the media following the launching, Deepika said she is elated that this year continues to be one of the best.
“While Piku has already released, now we have Tamasha and then Bajirao Mastani. So, as an actor I am very happy,” said the 29-year-old.
Talking about Tamasha, she said: “Tamasha is something that talks about breaking stereotype and expressing things differently. And I think we were expressing the character’s mood differently, how one could normally express that.”
