Tamasha gets off a SUPERB START

Following a slow week in the box office, it is time for Imtiaz Ali’s magic to work using Deepika Padukone starrer and the Ranbir Kapoor, Tamasha.

Released with the international release on Thursday, in 2150 displays, the movie shot an opening that was far better than anticipated, with a mean of 40 per cent occupancies in the first shows. Occupancies in northern sectors went as high as 50 per cent as well as the South zones reacted nicely in the first shows with 40 per cent occupancies. The movie has an opportunity to earn as much as Rs 11 crore in the initial day in the event the trend holds up.
