Blast in Bagram: Explosion hits US airbase in Afghanistan

The biggest US military facility in the nation, an enormous explosion hits the Bagram airbase in Afghanistan, has killed at least four individuals.
Right after the blast Taliban claims the responsibility.
The strike will be viewed as a significant security violation in one among the finest safe areas in Afghanistan.
Just north of the capital Kabul, continues to be used as the primary military base and airfield by the US-led Nato and forces over the previous 14 years.
A local government spokesman was quoted as saying the attacker entered each day on foot concealed among several workers.
Abdul Wahid Sediqi told AFP: “We do not understand the identity of casualties yet but the attacker was one of the Afghan labourers working there.”
The airbase, while folks assembled to observe Veteran’s Day strike, has several layers of checkpoints and security.
Although several assaults have happened at the outer gates of the compound strikes inside the compound are uncommon.
”[To] the relatives and buddies of those wounded in the current strike, I would like to assure you they’re receiving the finest care possible, and we are going to keep them in our ideas today.”
He said the incident had been investigated but failed to divulge the nationalities of the casualties.
Last December, six US soldiers were killed by a Taliban suicide bomber on foreign troops in one of the most lethal attacks of this past year in a village near Bagram.

The Taliban said the strikes were performed for a recent coalition airstrike in Kunduz which apparently killed some 30 civilians in retaliation.
Correspondents say the Taliban are stepping up their attacks before the start of winter.
