BLAST!! After Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone or Priyanka Chopra will romance a Chinese star
China appears to be the next favourite of our filmmakers. After Salman Khan roped for his next picture Tubelight directed by Kabir Khan in Chinese celebrity Zhu Zhu, we now learn the same could be replicated for Priyanka or Deepika too. Bang Bang manager Sidharth Anand is working on his Ind0-China production where he plans to cast Chinese celebrity Deng Chao of The Mermaid popularity in the picture. The film titled Love in Beijing is a narrative of a Chinese man falling in love with an Indian girl; just opposite to Salman Khan’s Tubelight. Verifying the same, the director spoke to a leading tabloid, “Yes, it’s a cross cultural love story set in Beijing. I’m excited showcase and to investigate another culture through this picture. Deng Chao’s name but we are going to take a final call when I visit China next month has been suggested by our Chinese producers.” So when the director was asked if he’d favor casting Deepika Padukone or Priyanka Chopra in the movie, he was quick to state that, “The film may have an A-list actress who has an international presence,so It could maybe be one among them.”
Ask him if he’s already started prepping for the script of his film and he says, “We’ve been working in my own office since the last week and should be able to lock the script. The Chinese are strong minded folks and its great pleasure to work together. I’ve never shot in China so it’s a blind spot for me. But I’ll be travelling there next month There are few writers who are notably flying down to India to assist the Indian and manager team of writers. They may also teach Mandarin to communicate better with crew and the cast to them. The performers in the picture also will be seen speaking in both Mandarin and Hindi.
“China is a large market and opening up to newer markets is an important part of the growth agenda. He also informed that Siddharth’s picture will roll before another Indo-China co production they’re producing. That one is a human drama, a journey movie which requires the character travel to China from India and will be helmed by Kabir Khan. “It begins in the second half of 2017.” So should we say that Kabir will be directing two Chinese stars back to back and the other picture next year?
