Its death toll almost doubled to 464 from last week’s Hajj stampede, saying there was no expectation of locating pilgrims missing following the disaster.

Approximately 240 Iranians were formerly declared dead with more than 200 after last Thursday’s crush near Makkah.

An Iranian red crescent official said that those lost were likely to have expired.

Iranian health ministers and Saudi agreed after days of furious argument to repatriate Iranian pilgrims.

“Iran could function as the very first state for bodies and repatriate them,” Hashemi said.

Those unknown bodies that are definitely Iranian identified at home and could be repatriated, he included.

Mahmood, well known for disclosing wrongdoing amongst movie and TV stars, politicians as well as royalty, was suspended by Rupert Murdoch’s Sun newspaper in July following the fall of a star trial where he was a principal witness.

She’d denied being associated with the supply of drugs while he posed as a film producer to Mahmood, but her trial failed saying he supposed the reporter had lied to the court.

Smith was Mahmood’s motorist.

“I ‘ll vigorously fight it at court,” he said in a statement. “In the meantime I ‘ve nothing further to say.”

Mahmood formerly worked for Murdoch’s News of the World tabloid. The tabloid claimed that he’d brought over 250 offenders to justice besides being instrumental in the covert operation to trap the Pakistani threesome of Mohammad Asif, Salman Butt and Mohammad Aamir.

The media mogul was compelled to close the tabloid when it had been revealed journalists had hacked voicemails including that belonging into a murdered schoolgirl, on mobile phones of a large number of men and women, to discover exclusive reports.

That resulted in the jailing of several senior staff in the newspaper including its former editor Andy Coulson.

Rebekah Brooks, who returned to run Murdoch’s British paper arm News UK after a four-year hiatus following the scandal that was hacking, was acquitted after having a high profile trial of participation.

Mahmood’s work was frequently mentioned by her as examples of great investigative journalism during her defence. For taking bribes to repair events in a match against England Mahmood carried out the inquiry which resulted in the 2011 conviction of three Pakistani cricketers.

In his well-known exclusive in 2001, he posed to dupe Sophie, Countess of Wessex, who’s married to Queen Elizabeth’s youngest son Prince Edward, into making indiscreet remarks about other members of senior politicians and the royal family.

News UK said it would expect the results of the criminal trial and noted the determination to prosecute Mahmood. “He stays frozen from The Sun,” a spokeswoman said.

The death toll from a suspected air strike on a wedding party in Yemen on Monday has risen to at least 131, the United Nations and local medics say.

Missiles supposedly hit two tents in a village nearby the Red Sea port of Mocha, in which a man linked to the Houthi rebel movement was observing his marriage.

But the Saudi-led coalition that is bombing the rebels for six months denied liability for the strike.

The UN condemned “the disregard shown by all sides for human life” in Yemen.

Secretary General Ban Ki-moon stressed its continuance would only bring destruction and more human suffering and that there is no military solution to the battle.

Some 5,000 people, including 2,355 civilians, have been killed in air strikes and fighting on the ground since 26 March, when Houthi fighters and allied army units driven Yemen’s internationally- recognised flee the nation.

Salman “expressed strong disapprobation of the dangerous Israeli escalation” at the sacred site where Palestinian protesters clashed with Israeli authorities for three straight days, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

“He called for serious and rapid international attempts as well as for the intervention of the Security Council to require all urgent measures to prevent these violations,” it said.

Salman added the “assault on worshippers” breaks the sanctity of faiths “and leads to feeding extremism and violence in the world”. SPA said Salman made the exact same appeal to French President Francois Hollande, Russian President Vladimir Putin and British Prime Minister David Cameron.
